let the dingbat circus begin

As previously reported, right wing loons are on the offensive again, going after a New Jersey school for attempting to indoctrinate kids during Black History Month. The video has now officially made the rounds as Matt Drudge posted it on his news-making creative fiction website The Drudge Report today, and now vaunted hate monger Michelle Malkin has blabbed about it on her blog, you can read her asinine assessment of this, most pressing story here.

Fearing the strong hand of the school board who might not want unauthorized footage of their kids floating around the Internet and being scrutinized by bloodsucking attic creatures like Michelle Malkin and Matt Drudge, Malkin posted screen-shots from the now infamous video up for scrutiny. Malkin helpfully points out that the event was organized around a children author’s book about the “inspirational” story of Barack Obama and then calls the attitude behind the whole thing “creepy” and calls the message “cult” like.

Thankfully, Michelle gears up for the inevitable liberal counter-strike:

We already know what the response will be to critics of this elementary school agitprop: Raaaaaacist!

Well, Ms. Malkin, I wouldn’t go that far, I mean, you are a racist, but in this instance, you’re more so just an ignorant crazy person, here’s the school’s incredibly reasonable response to this nonsense:

Dear Burlington Township Families:
Today we became aware of a video that was placed on the internet which has been reported in the media. The video is of a class of students singing a song about President Obama. The activity took place during Black History Month in 2009, which is recognized each February to honor the contributions of African Americans to our country. Our curriculum studies, honors and recognizes those who serve our country. The recording and distribution of the class activity were unauthorized.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me or Dr. King, Principal of B. Bernice Young School, directly.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christopher M. Manno,
Superintendent of Schools
